INA interprets Deutsch

Consecutive interpreting

In consecutive interpreting, participants speak in sections and the interpreter conveys each contribution during a pause. It can suit conversations with a manageable number of participants.

Allow time for interpretation

Interpretation in sections adds time to the meeting. Build in pauses and have one person speak at a time. Share the subject, participant count and planned duration so the assignment can be scoped realistically.

Briefing and meeting point

An agenda, relevant names and terminology help preparation. Provide the full address, meeting point and a reachable contact. Any special qualification requirements are checked separately.

Typical content and situations

  • Business meetings
  • Negotiations and interviews
  • Site visits and training
  • Personal and official appointments

Dates, availability and duration

Enquire as soon as the location and date are known. Availability depends on languages, subject and location. For urgent requests, give the actual deadline; we confirm availability only after checking. For longer events, we discuss breaks and whether a team is needed.
